Ikebana Workshop Class with Junko Popham

Taking place in Chew’s atmospheric events space, with our beautiful garden right outside, this workshop class will be of interest to anyone who loves nature, art and flowers. Junko will introduce the classical Ikebana method with a modern twist, using flowers and perspectives influenced by her time living in the northwest of England.

Cost: £40 This includes tuition, flowers and use of fixing materials.

The ethos of this workshop will be experiential and fluid. Participants will develop evolving arrangements, gently guided by Junko’s expert eye and input. Afterwards, flowers can be shared between the group, and taken home as mementos along with your own photographs that capture the ephemeral process.

You will also have the opportunity to take part in a group exhibition of the Ikebana outcomes, open to Chew’s Yard visitors, following the workshop between 4pm and 6 pm, on Sunday evening.
