Dykes On Decks

The Dykes are again back following the first event of the summer at your favourite seafront venue, The Tempest. You know what to expect by now! Brace yourselves for an unforgettable night of queer celebration, pulsating beats, and unapologetic fun and chaos!

This time round we'll be taking over Room 2 will a mega hot line up! We'll be joined by Areola Grande Latte bringing both pop culture and high femme dyke vibes to the rave with a multi-genre mix of 130-150 bpm high energy, trance, rave and pop edits. With a bejewelled handbag matching her bedazzled USB full of slaggy edits Areola Grande Latte is unafraid to push club boundaries bringin messy camp chaos to the scene. Her reputation as a London queer scene staple, and adaptable selector has seen her secure sets across the UK, and at festivals like Mighty
Hoopla, Boomtown, Wide Awake, Wilderness and Secret Garden Party. She’s a
regular collaborator with Pirate Studios in the form of hosting beginners'
workshops and running their Queers to the Front open sessions and she is also
one half of the duo Dance Mums. When she’s not playing out, she’s partaking in
academic research looking into the queer history of fundraising through nightlife!

Adding some more dazzle and sunshine to the mix we've invited Ting Run Run, also known as Claire (she/her), aka Superstar Sunshine ENERGY! A rising queer Asian DJ who's making waves in the underground scene accross London and Brighton becoming one to watch. 

Drawing on a diverse background and inspired by the 90s & early 00s, Ball Culture, and all things booty twerkin. Her mixes span house, hard groove, disco, baile funk, acid techno. making each performance a celebration of life and music, radiating an irresistible energy that gets everyone on the dance floor. 

Recognised as the Trailblazer of Voices Radio, Claire has electrified prestigious venues like Pxssy Palace, Body Movements, Secret Garden Party with her indelible sets, leaving an irresistible energy on the dance floor and co-pilot of queer club night called Serve. As part of the ESEA Music community her meteoric rise is a testament to her unwavering commitment to pushing boundaries and breaking barriers in the music industry as a Queer Asian DJ so that we all can just have fun and enjoy life! 

Also joining us is QWEEN of Dykes Discoteque Foxgluvv your new fave celesbian. Ready to give you all of the queer excellence at Dykes On Decks. Expect to hear COBRAH, Charlie XCX, ShyGirl, Brooke Candy and SOPHIE!

The Dykes, Lebby & Alex Berry will also be taking on the rave cave bringing their high energy sets to the seafront. They'll be spinning a seamless blend of high-energy dance tunes and getting the dancefloor hyped. With their infectious energy and unparalleled enthusiasm, they'll have you moving and grooving all night long. Expect a contrast of bouncy, trancey bangers and groovy 90's electro house. 

Dykes on Decks is a queer collective and event based in Brighton, UK that platform queer DJS within the electronic music scene.

Expect a multiverse of blended genres with bouncy basslines, floor filling 90’s trance anthems, tasteful techno, energetic electro, hard house beats and generous doses of garage and queer bangers.

Dykes on Decks aim to create a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community to explore genres, flirt, dance, express themselves freely.
