Goodgreef New Years Day Returns to Mission

‘Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind…’

Happy New Year to all, a time for families and gentle celebration basking in the glow of an open hearth, well you could do that or……

It’s GG NYD yet again, time for Leeds to brace itself for another Goodgreef Xtra Hard New Years Day assault. The now legendary combination of Goodgreef Xtra Hard and arguably the best Hard music city in the UK to join forces once more to see how far we can push it. The Goodgreef vs. SS events at the Kirkstall breweries were so well received many didn’t believe that when that site closed we would be able to find anywhere as good to host GG parties in the city, how wrong they were, Last years NYD event @ Mission was a sell out and the Victoria Warehouse Mental Hospital event, although a little warm, was one of the events of the year and long will this partnership continue with 2009 the next target and NYD the staging point.

To bring some ‘Glitz and Glamour’ to proceedings this event has been transformed into the GG XTRA Hard ‘Stars and Icons’ ball to be attended by some of Hollywood’s true glitterati in a full red carpeted shindig. Headlining the event is the Dutch A-lister himself ZANY bringing the house down with his unstoppable Hardstyle force. Next up in his own interminable ‘Wham bam thankyou Pam’ style Alex Kidd ‘Rock’ brings the noise. Accompanied by Radio 1’s Hard Dance superstar Kutski scratching an autograph across Leeds for 2009. In Album success terms two of the headline grabbing stories of the year have been The Organ Donors ‘Old Skool Autopsy’ and Dark By Design’s ‘Heaven and Hell’ and both sets of artists are there to show you why.

Keeping with tradition for NYD GG Xtra Hard invites in another label from the Hard House fraternity to cater for the specialised and filthy musical needs in a partisan city. There has been no other brand this year from that side that has been more talked about than Leeds own Hi Oktane which has been blazing its own trail across an established scene,  pulling in crowds from far and wide and basically upsetting the balance through the echelons of the Hard House world. Heading up this filth ridden line up is the ever present Leeds megastar ‘Mr’ Bobby T, (he may not get on no plane but he will certainly be in this club). Expect a catalogue of true Tissera classics as he takes you through a journey of what made him one of the most popular hard artists of his generation. Fortifying this is the Hard House Powerhouse and Hi Oktane resident that is Paul Glazby on the back of one of his most successful years and preparing to take all of the NYD survivors through a workout to ‘Kick It’ into 2009.

Ably assisted by Hi Oktane’s head honcho Adam M this will undoubtedly be the start of a beautiful relationship between the two separate sides of the UK Hard Dance Market. For a third more chilled option we do offer the ‘Priory Celebrity retreat’ with cool House and jacking Electro with a ever popular outdoor terrace.

To see 2009 be a part of the only party to be seen at, bring your celeb chic and iconize yourself up to the max Goodgreef Xtra Hard is back and were going to take you to the stars.
