Wakefield's most popular export The Cribs have announced a one-off gig in London later this month.

As a warm up to their appearances at the Reading and Leeds festivals over the August bank holiday weekend, the Jarmans will play a set at London's King's College next Tuesday (August 19th).

Tickets for the gig - which is also likely to see former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr team up with the boys again after his latest tour with Modest Mouse - are on sale now.

Recently, The Cribs' new tracks with Marr - which are to feature on their next album - were described as "amazing" by Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos, who produced the band's last album.

The follow up to Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever is likely to be released in early 2009 and will be the first with Marr as a formal member of the band.ADNFCR-1603-ID-18731415-ADNFCR
