Nationwide Mercury Music Prize nominees Neon Neon have announced that they will play a date in Manchester as part of a headlining national tour.

The band - who typically have Har Mar Superstar as a gust vocalist and Cate Le Bon on keytar, alongside Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals fame - will play Manchester's Ruby Lounge on November 9th.

After starting their jaunt in Bristol, the band will play gigs in London, Leeds, Glasgow and Gateshead, before ending at the Glee Club in Birmingham on November 10th.

In related news, Kiwi songstress Ladyhawke has also announced a Manchester gig as part of a short tour of the UK.

Her first headlining tour of the country will see her play Manchester's Roadhouse, as well as gigs in Leeds, Birmingham and London.

The electro-popster - whose real name is Pip Brown - recently released her Paris Is Burning single.
