Built in the 18th century the hotel has been extended and modernised but still reatins many of its original features. The restaurant with views over the lawns and woodland offers a wide range of fine dining, or alternatively why not enjoy a bar meal in our lounge bar or conservatory. Guests have free use of the health club with steam room, sauna, pool and gymnasium and we also have a beauty salon offering a full range of treatments.Barnsley makes an excellent base for exploring the beautiful Pennine hill country and many locations used for filming Emmerdale and Last of the Summer Wine.
