It was clean, really comfy bed and nice shower, bit small and no fridge but really good for £35. The people were nice but took years to answer the door. Don't believe Skiddle telling you its near Warehouse Project though the taxi there was £15!!!

Kings Dock Penthouse Apartment

197 Royal Quay, Liverpool

miss
Overall rating: 2.5

whilst my stay which started out to be at the kings dock ended up at the quatre culture due to a surporsed leek the day i was going but the day before i spoke to the fella called dave and nothing was mentioned. the fella was quick to arrive when arriving which was really handy due to cold weather. it was really quite inconvenient due to i was going out on the docks thats why i had booked the kings docks and the difference was quite a walk to the culture where i was staying and then due to a fire alarm going off at circo where we was, every1 was ordered out and fire brigade was sent in which was then very awkward to get taxi which caused us having to walk home which ended up to be quite a walk having been told on phone it wasnt a far walk . worst is to cum as when ive got up in morning iv gone to make myself a coffee and when getting sugar i noticed a couple of ecstacy tablets and traces of cocaine which i was very upset about as it states its a family appartment and obvously they could of got into the wrong hands luckily it was me and i removed using the toilet.

City Park Boutique Hotel

882 Rochdale Road, Manchester

Overall rating: 1

Arrived at location and was automatically disapointed as in the description it had made out it was surrounded by 3 acres! WHICH IT ISNT! Located on a busy road!
We kept an open mind.. but inside the Hotel its self was grubby and out dated.
The Room was Small and no done to a high standard. There wasnt a door on the poky bathroom! A huge crack on the ceiling which meant we could hear the rowdy girls in the next room. A sign saying be careful when using shower as it might flood the room below.

We were gutted. it ruined our new Year as we had booked a LUXURY room and it wasnt even Basic!
DO NOT BOOK UNLESS YOU JUST WANT A BED!!!!!!

Express by Holiday Inn Leeds City Centre - Armouries

Armouries Drive, Leeds

Miss
Overall rating: 5

This hotel was excellent value. Situated near The Royal Armouries it it located minutes from a Tesco Express, and a number of nice restaurants and shops which line the edges of the canal. The walk to the city centre takes 8-10 minutes.
Staff were very friendly and eager to assist you, if you do not know the area. We booked a room for 3 adults, and found the accommodation to be very comfortable and well proportioned, with tea and coffee facilities provided.

Kenwood Hall

Kenwood Road, Sheffield

Overall rating: 4

Hotel was fine but in need of updating soon. Rooms were larger than average with seperate lounge area. Quilt was wafer thin, had to keep heating on full at night - not very green. No WiFi. Leisure facilities were uninspiring, pool and jacuzzi were colder than you would expect. Bar food was expensive and a small glass of wine for £5 was a rip off. Room prices were reasonable though, just don't get hungry!

Blue Rainbow ApartHotel Manchester Central

Blue Rainbow Apartments 8 Commercial Street, Manchester

Clubbing_missy's Review
Overall rating: 5

This was amazing accomodation, 5 star. The website doesnt do it justice. We were a stone's throw from Deansgate Locks and this 2 bedroom apart worked out less than 2 rooms in nearby hotels. There was everything we needed, including bread, milk, tea coffee. It was a home away from home, very luxurious!!

Only gripe was having to pay £7.50 to park the car.

I would highly recomend these apartments, and will be staying here again, it certainly beats paying fortunes for taxi's home or hotel rooms.

Beverley Hotel

58 Lichfield Road, Walsall

The Beverley Hotel - great place to stay
Overall rating: 5

Dave and I have stayed at This hotel a couple of times. My brother had his wedding reception there, during the time he worked as an assistant chef.

We live not far from the hotel, but have stayed there just to spend time alone. It is in a prime location, due to the fact that it is close to the M6 jct10, a stone throw's away from the beautiful Arboretum, and on a bus route into the town centre (buses are every 5-10mins)...if you want to, though, it is within walking distance. The buses the opp way go to Brownhills, Pelsall, Rushall etc..

I would recommend The Beverley to anyone.

Even though it is on the main road, it is set back, and you don't really hear any traffic.

Excellent service, friendly staff, and a good, clean place to stay.

On arrival I was upgraded to a superb top floor conversion which included breakfast...I've no idea why but it was a real tonic for this weary traveller and very much appreciated...the hotel is generally decent and I was able to get my head down in some comfort after a night's raving to Squarepusher underneath Piccadilly Station...cheap & central...do it...cheers BM

SACO @ Livingbase - Brindleyplace

3 Brunswick Square, Birmingham

hush hush's Review

Bit of a nightmare review but I was booked a 2 bed apartment and 1 bed apartment with a 06:30 check in and a 08:00 check out and because of this was furnished with the keys in envelopes via a third party earlier on. When we went to the hotel the council were closing off roads to it for a fun run later on in the day. We couldn't get near the hotel and even when we found a way to it we couldn't find a reception. It didn't matter because I had the keys but we had no idea which block our rooms were in because the buildings had no signs. Luckily I got us in to the right one quickly and we went up to our floors. When I went into the room I was so fucked I went straight to bed and got a call 5 minutes later asking if I had 2 rooms in my apartment. I hadn't noticed so I went wandering round and found another room. They had put the wrong keys in our envelopes. We didn't swap but it was bad. I was glad we left early. The apartment seemed a good size. I didn't check it our properly but there was some eggs/bacon milk and cornflakes in the fridge. I don't know how much these places go for exactly but from what I've seen they are very competitive comparing to hotel rooms and they are obviously much larger. Bare in mind their location can be an arse especially if you're dipping in and out like I was. If you don't want service from a hotel they are well worth a look.

Malmaison Newcastle

104 Quayside, Newcastle upon Tyne

hush hush's Review

Usual Malmaison standard although the bar is massive compared to other branches. Stayed here many times when visiting the mighty Shindig @ Digital and it's great. The La Tasca next door is great for lunch and the Mal burger in your room is a must!

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels at Chelsea Football Club

Stamford Bridge,Fulham Road, London

hush hush's Review

Despite the name this hotel is actually located in Fulham, located off the main street part of Chelsea's football club. If you are planning to stay here it's likely because of the sporting connection or it's high end shopping opportunities. If it's the latter, make sure you check the fixtures list before getting to the hotel, if it's a match day and you want to check in early, don't say I didn't warn you. The wing of the hotel I was in is situated right next door to Marco Pierre White's restaurant. Had I not been dining alone I'd have chosen it over the room service which was pretty naff for a hotel of this calibre. To the other side is Frankie Dettori's sports bar which was pretty dead but no doubt because Chelsea were away that day. The concierge were pretty unefficient and despite a recent refurb some of the fittings looked a little tired. I wouldn't stay here again, largely because of the location in relation to what I want from London.

St Martins Lane - Morgans Hotel Group

45 St. Martin'S Lane, London

hush hush's Review

The combination of the design (Phillipe Starck) and the location (Covent Garden) make this hotel well worth a look - especially if you are looking for a weekend getaway with your partner. Floor to ceiling glass in all rooms, modern, vibrant and fantastic, this hotel rocks. It is of a higher price than others I've reviewed but if you're looking to impress, you'll do well here.

Malmaison London

18-21 Charterhouse Square, London

hush hush's Review

I have stayed here around a dozen times this year and it has been great every time. The concierge are very efficient and even the standard rooms are spacious and comfortable. The room service is one of my favorites, I love the Mal burger which is cooked to your liking and comes served on it's own chopping board with a huge serrated edged knife to tackle it. The restaurant is also good and reasonably priced for the area. The hotel is very well located off the main road in a quiet square and despite being 10 seconds walk from Fabric it's much quieter than you would expect. The hotel is similar to all Malmaisons in it's style and all furnishings are of a high standard. Free internet in rooms.

Mercure Holland House Hotel & Spa Bristol

Redcliffe Hill, Bristol

hush hush's Review

The room of my 1 bed suite was large but the bathroom was very small in comparison. I wasn't staying overnight but if I was I'd have changed rooms. The receptionists were a bit dopey and the concierge unavailable many times. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.
