Two Nations divided by the same language...

...is that the right saying when talking about the Brits and the Yanks?

Well I've just put the phone down from speaking to a New York booking agent about one of his bands touring in the UK next year. "Do you speak American?" he asked. "Just fluent Manc" was the best I could come up with.

To be fair he had just finished speaking to promoters in other parts of Europe so he might have forgotten he was phoning the UK.

Made me chuckle.

its always good to see our words written slightly differently for no reason....

i think its called constructive creative writing, in school we called it dyslexia!
