Albums of the year...

Any suggestions?

The only artist albums I know I've listened to more than once is 'There Were Wolves' by the Accidental and 'Reality Checkpoint' by Logistics.

I`m really struggling to think of any albums that have been worth buying this year!

There are plenty of albums worth buying, it's just nowadays everybody steals them off the internet.

Re: Albums of the year...

Sasha `Invol2ver` got a couple of weeks interest.

The only thing to get repeated plays in the van has been a copy of Ryans `Wickerman Festival Set`. Class.

I'll chuck another vote in for 'Involv2er' and 'Seldom Seen Kid'!

Erm, Last of the Shadow Puppets album.. was that released this year or last? Utterly love it.

I love albums, but mp3 players with playlists and shuffle modes, etc, are making some of them a thing of the past.. much more common to listen to individual tracks than a whole album from start to finish.. and a lot of albums seem to be designed to work that way rather than to be played from start to end..

Saw MGMT week and the crowd went mad for 2 tracks.. then were quiet as hell for the rest of them.. obviously most people had only heard those two. Real shame.. their set was really good I felt... all the trackss merging together with some trippy guitar solos.. was like a concept album from a late 70's prog rock group!

I got to see Vampire Weekend at the Academy a few weeks back too!.. one of those bands who I thought were better much live than not. Really got the crowd going.

the mgmt album is fantastic and kids is a fantastic song. Problem is people don't want to sit and listen to albums the whole way through. It's silly isn't it!
