Re: uber...constructive ideas for future

I was at kenny dope when he played in the basement and there was maybe 25-30 of us there. that's such a bad turn out for such a good dj. MAW seem to have upped there mainstrem popularity with that shit remix of "work" last year so it might be busy this time if you did get them. I have the MAW BBE silver and gold box sets and they are fantastic.

Re: uber...constructive ideas for future

The only problem with MAW as I said would be cost I would love to do it but you have 2 big fees and flights and riders and hotels and we only have a limited capacity.

Justin Martin would be good, DJ Heather is class I also would like to do Cassius.

Re: uber...constructive ideas for future

I reckon the Streetlife DJ's would go down a storm in Concrete.

They play some proper quality cheese in a 2 Many DJ's kind of way.

Re: uber...constructive ideas for future

Andrew Weatherall (really wanted to see him at Beatherder but I'd been at the special K for two days).

Jesse Rose

Harold Heath

Quentin Harris

DJ Gregory

Stanton Warriors (breaks I know, but they could still rock a house crowd)

Greg Wilson

Deetron

Henrik Schwarz

Trickski

Ben Watt

Carl Craig

Ame

Rolando

Brett Johnson

Franck Roger

Dixon

Francois K

Roland Appel

Gui Boratto...

The list is endless to be honest.

Out of the DJ's you've already had at Uber I'd like to see Todd Terry, Paul Woolford and X-Press 2 again.

Re: uber...constructive ideas for future

Henrik Schwarz, Carl Craig, Dixon

All class not sure what sort of reception they would get in Carlisle as for DJ Gregory he's a terrible DJ Ive seen him a few times and he's one that doesnt transfer his production skills to the decks.

Re: uber...constructive ideas for future

Ben Watt is fantastic. I've got some of his buzzin fly mixes off the end and they are brilliant. So sre the buzzin fly comp cd's. What about sebastian Ledger or get some classics. Get Ce Ce Rodgers to do a vocal set and have Frankie Knuckles do a set. Or if you could get Rampling to do a 20 years of Acid set. His acid set at Sankeys was so so good. Totally not what I expected from him at all! Still looks gay with that stupid purple trilby though!

Re: uber...constructive ideas for future

We did that with Rampling last December didnt you make it down? Was a great set and we had Switch in the back room. I have looked at Ben Watt beofre but I dont think he would do that well in Carlisle although he is amazing I saw him at Plastic People a few years back very deep, very good.

Re: uber...constructive ideas for future

unfortnatly I didn't make it down due to having a psycotic ex girlfriend. I made it to Todd Terry but she kicked off then as well and ruined it for Me and a lot of my friends. Rampling seems to be making a dj comeback of sorts! Sankeys was amazing.

Big switch fan. Got a lot of their stuff. Just put "get your dub on" into a mix I've recorded this morning. Just got my russian housemates reviewing it in the living room. With a cup of tea and a smarties cookie.
