Re: uber

Where would you do it at if not Concrete? Where would be suitable and have a decent DJ booth and sound system?

As for big names it would be hard to run a night without them in Carlisle. If we were to start up agian was thinking about...

Derrick Carter, Nic Fanciulli & Zabelia One+One, Sneak, Claude Von Stroke, Danny Howells, Steve Lawler, Timo Mass, Felex Da House Cat,

Any thoughts on those.

Re: uber

concrete is defo the only place in town to do uber as we have a good relationship with everyone involved and as matt says the sound and booth are exceptional

some good names put forward and some totally un-realistic ones!

keep em coming folks

Re: uber

I don't think I'd ever describe the sound or the DJ booth at Concrete as 'exceptional'.

Functional perhaps, but the DJ booth doesn't have any breathtaking aesthetic value and the sound system at the Brickyard can put it to shame when it's set up right.

What is it you plan to do differently this time around if you take Uber back to Concrete?

Re: uber

I think the system's fine and the booth is well equiped with good monitors and that for a promoter is half the battle.

I think if we did start again I would like to do some more work on production with more artwork and projections/lights. TBH I thought our bookings were pretty good you cant please everyone all the time but we had a decent mix from Wooly to Tong and Todd to Sneak.

Tim what would you have us do differently if we started back up?

Re: uber

Certainly by spending more time on the production you can make Concrete your own in a way that takes away some of the sterile atmosphere it has.

Lights off, smoke machines, lasers etc all make up for a good party in my opinion.

You had some great bookings last time.

Would you ever consider stepping away from House music occasionally?
